The Glory of the Incarnated God
Have you ever gone to the beach and swam in the ocean, in the middle of the winter? Have you ever lit a fire in the fireplace, during the heat of the summer? It's not that you can't do these things, but that you typically reserve the enjoyment of certain activities for certain seasons. Unfortunately, the same can be true when it comes to celebrating the incarnation.
Meditating on the incarnation is not meant to be a seasonal activity.
Don't wait till Christmas to enjoy the glory of the incarnation. Use this well-worn Charles Wesley hymn to remind you of the gift of the new born King. Read, meditate, reflect, pray - light a fire if it helps.
